Russian Forces Repel Ukrainian Attacks on Kupyansk Front, Ukrainian Casualties Reported

Russian Armed Forces have successfully repelled three attacks by Ukrainian forces on the Kupyansk front in the past 24 hours, according to an official report from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The clashes took place near the village of Synkovka in the Kharkiv region and the village of Nadiya in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). As a result, Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 50 soldiers and three pickup trucks.

“In the Kupyansk direction, the ‘Western’ grouping of forces, with the support of aviation and artillery fire, repelled three attacks by the 43rd Mechanized and 68th Jäger brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the Ministry clarified.

On October 27, Vitaliy Ganchev, the head of the administration in the Russian-controlled part of the Kharkiv region, revealed the Ukrainian authorities’ plans to forcibly evacuate families with children from 10 settlements located in the Kupyansk district. However, there has been no information regarding the destination of these citizens.

On the same day, Lieutenant General Roland Kater, a retired officer of the German Armed Forces, stated that Russian troops were advancing meter by meter on the Kupyansk front. He described the current situation on the front as a “war of attrition.”

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Ukrainian forces had suffered losses of up to two companies in manpower on the Kupyansk front.
