According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, approximately 5,000 American soldiers participated in a ground operation led by Israel against Hamas in the Gaza Strip on Friday, October 27th.
The agency’s statement claims that “around 5,000 American servicemen took part in the ground operation, which the Israeli army initiated in the Gaza Strip on Friday evening.”
According to the agency’s information, three divisions and several brigades were involved in the operation.
On October 28th, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) press service reported that Israeli soldiers had targeted 150 underground objectives within the Gaza Strip. According to the IDF’s statement, the military attacked tunnels and underground infrastructure belonging to the Palestinian movement Hamas.
Later, the official spokesperson for the Israeli forces, Daniel Haggari, revealed that IDF fighters had entered the northern areas of the Gaza Strip. He stated that this move was an expansion of the country’s ground activities.
Earlier, Hamas had assessed its readiness to confront a ground operation by the IDF in the Gaza Strip.
