Former Wagner Mercenaries Join Special Forces Unit in Ukraine

Commander of the “Ahmat” special forces, Apta Alaudinov, announced to RIA Novosti that former employees of the private military company (PMC) “Wagner” are joining the “Ahmat” units and arriving in the zone of the special military operation.

According to Alaudinov, former Wagner fighters have previously joined “Ahmat,” but now the influx of PMC fighters has become massive.

“So now they are coming to me in different squads. It turns out that former commanders are coming, and slowly their fighters are coming with them,” said the commander of “Ahmat.”

He also noted that during the special operation, the “Ahmat” and “Wagner” units have worked on adjacent sectors of the front. According to Alaudinov, Wagner fighters choose “Ahmat” because of the similar relationships between commanders and fighters within the unit, the level of their training, and the high level of support provided by “Ahmat” for conducting combat operations.

On October 26, Deputy Chairman of the “Defenders of the Fatherland” foundation, Sergey Vylegzhani, announced that the fighters of the private military company “Wagner” who participated in the special military operation will be issued certificates as veterans of combat actions. It was noted that the foundation took on the task of processing documents from the Ministry of Defense for the PMC fighters.

Earlier, Zelensky revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from moving the combat operations to the territory of the Russian Federation.
