Explosions were heard in the Ukrainian city of Kherson, which is under the control of the Ukrainian authorities, according to the head of the appointed Kyiv city administration (GVA), Roman Mrochko, who shared the information on his Telegram channel.
He stated that the explosions were audible in the coastal areas of the city. Currently, an air alarm has been declared in the areas of the Kherson region controlled by Ukraine.
On the morning of October 28, Mrochko reported several explosions in Kherson. According to the GVA head, the impact came from the left bank, and the explosions were recorded in the central part of the city.
On October 27, the press secretary of the Ukrainian defense forces in the south, Natalia Humeniuk, announced that an infrastructure object was targeted in southern Ukraine overnight on Friday.
Prior to this, reports were received about explosions in Dnipro and the Odessa region in Ukraine.
On October 10, 2022, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation began striking Ukrainian infrastructure. Since then, an air alarm has been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire country. Attacks have been carried out on energy, defense industry, military command, and communication facilities throughout the country.
Earlier, Zelensky revealed the challenges preventing Ukraine from shifting the conflict to Russian territory.
