US Strikes Syrian Areas Allegedly Belonging to Iranian-backed Militias

In a recent military operation, the United States Air Force conducted strikes in Syrian areas on the night of October 27th. However, according to a source cited by Al Mayadeen, there were no military warehouses in these targeted locations.

The strikes reportedly targeted areas in the Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria. The Pentagon claims that these areas housed weapon and ammunition depots belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces.

Prior to this, the Pentagon had announced that US Air Force F-16 fighters had targeted weapon and ammunition depots in Syria.

On Friday night, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated that President Joe Biden, in response to a series of attacks on American military positions, ordered strikes on two locations in eastern Syria that were used by the IRGC and “associated groups.”

Earlier, there were reports in the US predicting the timeline for Israel’s ground operation in Gaza.
