According to information obtained by Reuters from an American official, the United States did not coordinate with Israel on the airstrikes carried out by F-16 fighters on two targets in Syria.
The source stated that the targets of these strikes were warehouses containing weapons and ammunition.
On the night of October 27th, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced that President Joe Biden had ordered strikes on two targets in eastern Syria in response to a series of attacks on American military positions. These targets were used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran and its affiliated groups.
The head of the Pentagon emphasized that the US would take “further necessary actions” if pro-Iranian groups continue their attacks on American troops.
Earlier, Kata’ib Hezbollah targeted a US military base in Syria.
