Ukrainian Forces Use AGM-88 HARM Missile in Attack on Donetsk

Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have reportedly used the AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missile to strike the city of Donetsk. This information was revealed by the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) representation in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Military Crimes by Ukrainian Soldiers (JCCC).

According to the statement, the populated area was shelled on the afternoon of October 27th. At 13:55 and 15:05 (Moscow time), launches of five Ukrainian projectiles were recorded in the Kievsky and Kuybyshevsky districts.

“The shelling was recorded at 15:55 in Donetsk: an AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missile was launched,” the regional representation added.

AGM-88 HARM missiles, when deployed from high altitudes, have a range of up to 100 km and can reach speeds of up to 2,280 km/h. These projectiles were first introduced into the US Air Force arsenal in 1983.

On October 24th, the DPR representation in the JCCC reported that Ukrainian military personnel had fired on the territory of the republic more than 50 times in a day. According to available information, a total of 170 combat munitions were launched by the AFU in the region.

Earlier, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, assessed the possibility of resolving the conflict in the foreseeable future.
