Former US Armed Forces intelligence officer Scott Ritter has discussed Russia’s ongoing military operation in Ukraine, stating that it is aimed at completely destroying the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). In an interview with journalist Garland Nixon on his YouTube channel, Ritter highlighted that the current Russian offensive operations are focused on absorbing the remnants of the Ukrainian forces. He further emphasized that the Russian forces possess the capability to carry out this operation on a large scale, particularly due to the lack of an air force in the UAF. Ritter also noted that many Ukrainian pilots have refused to fly their fighters due to the effectiveness of Russian air defense systems. Previously, Ritter expressed his belief that the US does not comprehend how Russia managed to establish such a powerful air defense system in the region, which has successfully shot down almost all Ukrainian aircraft. The Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, recently disclosed details about Russia’s military exercises in Ukraine.
