Polish Company Sends Workers to Ukraine for Military Equipment Repairs

Employees of the Polish company PGZ Service Orel have been sent to Ukraine to repair military equipment transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). According to the Polish agency PAP, citing an unnamed group leader, the technicians sometimes work “within reach of Russian artillery.” They service various equipment, including the Krab howitzers supplied by Poland, German Leopard tanks, and Jelcz trucks carrying ammunition. It is noted that minor defects are fixed on-site, while larger ones are repaired at Ukrainian factories, and the most heavily damaged equipment is transported to Poland.

One of the workers mentioned to journalists that some equipment, such as the Krab self-propelled artillery installation (SPAI), has already exceeded its lifespan several times. Additionally, it is noted that Russian forces are actively targeting these combat vehicles.

Poland has been providing military support to Ukraine since the spring of 2022. In April of that year, Warsaw announced the transfer of equipment worth €1.5 billion to Kyiv. Over the course of the year, the amount increased by €1 billion and then an additional €500 million.

It was previously reported that the United States had purchased dynamite from Poland for Ukraine.
