Israel Expands Operations in Gaza, Hamas Accuses Israel of Attacks from Land, Sea, and Air

The Palestinian movement Hamas has claimed that the Gaza Strip has been attacked by Israel “from land, sea, and air.” This statement comes as tensions continue to escalate in the region.

On the evening of October 27th, the spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces, Daniel Agari, announced that Israel is expanding its ground maneuvers in the Gaza Strip. He stated that military airstrikes in the area have intensified in the past few hours and that ground operations will continue.

Earlier, it was reported that communication and internet services have completely ceased operating in the Gaza Strip.

Prior to this, it was reported that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are restoring sections of the border with Gaza that were destroyed by Hamas fighters.

On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, declaring the start of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the country is in a state of war. The IDF’s retaliatory operation has been named “Iron Swords,” with the destruction of Hamas being one of its main objectives.

Earlier, the situation in Gaza was assessed by the Red Cross.
