Deputy Head of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ali Bagheri Kani, held a meeting with a member of the Hamas Politburo, Abu Marzouk, in Moscow. The meeting, which took place in Moscow, was reported by the Iranian Embassy’s Telegram channel.
Ali Bagheri Kani invited his Russian counterpart for an exchange of opinions and bilateral consultations with Abu Marzouk.
The Hamas delegation had previously met with the Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and African countries in Moscow.
The Special Envoy of the Chinese government for the Middle East, Zhao Zhong, also stated that a return to the negotiating table would be the only way to break the vicious cycle of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
According to him, the situation between Palestine and Israel is extremely serious. The escalation can only be resolved through the cessation of hostilities and military actions. Easing the situation will help create the necessary conditions for a settlement, noted Zhao.
Earlier, a political analyst explained how Russia’s position would change after the arrival of the Hamas delegation.
