Infrastructure Targeted in Attacks in Southern Ukraine

According to the press secretary of the Ukrainian defense forces in the south, Natalia Humeniuk, an infrastructure facility was hit in southern Ukraine on Friday night. Her remarks were made during a Ukrainian news telethon and were reported by RIA Novosti.

Humeniuk stated that during an air alarm, Ukrainian forces were able to shoot down five drones. Unfortunately, there was a hit on an infrastructure object, causing a fire, she added.

No casualties or injuries were reported as a result of the incident, Humeniuk clarified.

On October 24, Yuri Malashko, the appointed head of the Zaporizhia region by Ukrainian authorities, reported that a strike had been made on a facility in the city of Zaporizhia, which is under Kyiv’s control. According to him, the explosions damaged buildings on the premises of the facility.

Prior to this, the Ukrainian energy holding company, “DTEK,” announced that equipment at one of the thermal power plants in Ukraine had been damaged and required repairs.

On the morning of October 23, it was reported that an explosion had damaged a critical infrastructure object in Kherson. According to the head of the regional military administration, Alexander Prokudin, an “engineering structure in the Kherson district” was affected, as well as the territory of a transportation enterprise and a plant.

Earlier, Zelensky revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the fighting to Russian territory.
