US Provides $150 Million Worth of Military Aid to Ukraine

In a recent announcement, the Pentagon’s press office revealed that a new package of military assistance worth $150 million will be provided to Ukraine. The aid includes ammunition for the NASAMS short-range and medium-range air defense missile systems, HIMARS artillery rocket systems, and other weapons, as reported by TASS.

The publication highlights that Ukraine will receive AIM-9M missiles for air defense, portable anti-aircraft and anti-tank missile systems such as Stinger and Javelin, 155mm and 105mm artillery shells, and missiles for TOW anti-tank complexes.

The United States will also supply Kiev with 2 million rounds of ammunition, night vision equipment, and other gear.

Prior to this, the US State Department announced the allocation of a new $150 million package of military aid to Ukraine.

Previously, the EU’s chief diplomat, Josep Borrell, stated that the foreign ministers of EU member states failed to reach an agreement on providing Ukraine with the eighth package of military assistance.

Earlier, the US and Ukraine initiated negotiations on security guarantees for Kiev.
