Ukrainian Forces Suffer Losses in Failed Offensive Against Russian-backed Separatists

Ukrainian forces have suffered significant losses in their recent offensive against separatist groups supported by Russia in the Kremen region. According to a fighter from the special forces unit “Ahmat” stationed in the area, the enemy has been attempting to break through from the Zhitlovka and Dibrov directions but has been unsuccessful. The Ukrainian units, including the “Azov” battalion and the recently joined “Kraken” battalion from Ukraine’s special operations forces, have incurred heavy casualties and have been unable to make any progress.

This comes after Alexander Savchuk, the spokesperson for the “Center” group, announced on October 25th that Russian forces had successfully suppressed over 30 artillery positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, along with five armored vehicles and more than 125 Ukrainian soldiers.

Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that their air defense systems had intercepted five missiles fired by Ukrainian reactive multiple launch rocket systems (HIMARS) and 44 Ukrainian drones in the past 24 hours.

On October 11th, retired Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Marochko from the People’s Militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic stated that Russian forces had repelled more than 10 counterattacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction of the town of Kremenna in recent days.

Earlier, in the United States, the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive was acknowledged.
