In a recent interview with “Izvestia,” military expert Vasily Dandykin stated that the interception of two Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) ballistic missiles during a special operation indicates that Russian air defense systems have effectively adapted to such weapons.
Dandykin remarked, “The air defense systems have adapted and are prepared to counteract further threats, including German Taurus missiles, if they are deployed.”
According to him, various Russian missile systems, from small to large, are capable of addressing similar challenges.
“It is possible that our Buk-M2 or Buk-M3 systems could have achieved the same result,” Dandykin believes.
The expert also noted that long-range missiles can detect and intercept Russian air defense systems such as the S-300 and S-400.
Earlier, military expert Evgeny Mikhailov stated that the transfer of 20 American ATACMS missiles to Kyiv would not alter the balance of power in the area of the special military operation.
Previously, the US claimed that the Russian Armed Forces were successfully countering American weapons in Ukraine.
