Ukraine Increases Mobilization Efforts Due to Frontline Losses

A member of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Sergei Rakhmanin, has stated that mobilization in the country will be intensified due to losses on the front. He was quoted by the Ukrainian publication “Strana.ua”.

According to the deputy, there will be an “additional need for resources” both because of the losses suffered by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in terms of manpower and the necessity to form new units and brigades.

Earlier, Roman Istomin, a representative of the military enlistment office in the Poltava region, stated that every able-bodied man in Ukraine must understand that he may have to go to the front.

Prior to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the Ukrainian military command intends to mobilize more people.

Since February 2022, a general mobilization has been declared in Ukraine and has been repeatedly extended. The country’s authorities are doing everything possible to prevent men of draft age from evading military service. They are prohibited from leaving the country, and summonses are issued in government institutions, on the streets, and in any crowded places.

Earlier, a member of the AFU expressed his lack of understanding of the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
