The head of the Zaporizhia public movement “We are Together with Russia,” Vladimir Rogov, has informed RIA Novosti that two Ukrainian saboteur groups have been eliminated in the area of the Verbovo settlement on the front line in the Zaporizhia region.
“Our intelligence identified two sabotage and reconnaissance groups consisting of five to seven people each on the Orehovsk direction in the Verbovo area. Initially, our forces repelled their attack in a firefight, and then at least half of them were destroyed, while the remaining members fled,” he stated.
Rogov highlighted that the Russian forces have prevented any advancement and are currently holding their positions while successfully counterattacking.
Prior to this incident, Vladimir Rogov reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) had made unsuccessful attempts to attack Russian army positions in the Rabotin area, particularly towards the villages of Kopani and Novoprokopovka.
He also mentioned that there are artillery duels and the use of drones on the Vasilyevsk direction.
Earlier, a UAF fighter expressed confusion about the reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine.
