President Vladimir Putin of Russia was seen observing a training session for strategic deterrence forces via video link, according to RIA Novosti.
The President connected from the Kremlin’s situation center and listened to reports from Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov.
Gerasimov stated that the training involved the deployment of the mobile system “Yars,” an atomic submarine, and two strategic missile carriers.
On October 26 of last year, under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, a training session for ground, naval, and aviation strategic deterrence forces was conducted. During this session, practical launches of ballistic and cruise missiles were carried out. Under Putin’s guidance, the training focused on delivering a massive nuclear strike in response to an enemy’s nuclear attack.
Earlier, it was reported that the Pentagon successfully tested components of hypersonic weapons.
