In a recent announcement, Adam Delimkhanov, a deputy of the State Duma, revealed that Ruslan Geremeev has been appointed as the commander of the new battalion established by the Ministry of Defense in Chechnya. Delimkhanov made this information public through his Telegram channel.

Delimkhanov stated that the initiative to create this battalion came from the Head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.

“The Ministry of Defense is currently forming a new battalion, which will be named after one of the most renowned and distinguished Chechens, the first imam of the Caucasus, Sheikh Mansur,” Delimkhanov declared.

Earlier, Ramzan Kadyrov, the Head of Chechnya, announced through his Telegram channel that the formation of the new battalion in the republic is nearing completion. This battalion will also bear the name of the first imam of the Caucasus, Sheikh Mansur. According to the regional leader, he visited the construction site in the city of Gudermes together with the battalion’s commander, Ruslan Geremeev, where they inspected the progress of the construction and reconstruction of a military facility to accommodate the battalion’s personnel. Kadyrov stated that the work is in its final stages.

He also mentioned that a parade ground has been equipped for the soldiers. Additionally, a dining hall with a capacity of 100 seats, a parking area, a prayer room, and other facilities have been provided.

Previously, Kadyrov addressed those who were recording “complaint videos” to the military.
