US Sends Military Advisors to Israel Amidst Heightened Tensions

In a recent briefing with journalists, Pentagon spokesperson Patrick Ryder confirmed the presence of American military advisors in Israel. According to Ryder, the advisors were sent to assist the Israelis in addressing various planning concerns, including recommendations to minimize civilian casualties.

One of the advisors accompanying Israel is Marine Corps General James Glyn, who has previously been involved in operations against the terrorist group ISIS (which is banned in Russia).

This announcement follows a statement by John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the White House National Security Council, who mentioned that the United States had dispatched a number of military advisors to Israel.

On October 23, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council stated that the United States currently does not observe any signs of a “major player” gearing up for a “big war” in the Middle East.

Earlier, CNN reported, citing a high-ranking US administration official, that Washington allows Israel to make independent decisions regarding the timing and strategy of its conflict with Hamas. However, US President Joe Biden expressed his views on the matter during his visit to the Jewish state.

A political analyst previously identified one of the reasons behind the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
