Vulnerabilities in M1A1 Abrams Tanks Revealed by Shket – Operator of Kamikaze UAV

In an interview with RIA Novosti, the operator of the kamikaze UAV named “Shket” shared insights into the vulnerabilities of M1A1 Abrams tanks.

According to the agency’s report, “Shket” is currently deployed in the southern direction of Donetsk. He revealed that Russian military forces are well aware of the characteristics of the Abrams tank.

“Shket” stated that tanks like the Abrams can be attacked from above or through the rear ammunition compartment, as these areas have weaker armor. While the Abrams boasts precise long-range weaponry and modern surveillance capabilities, its side and rear armor are comparatively weaker.

The operator believes that the Abrams tank will not come as a surprise to the Russian Armed Forces. “After all, military academies have prepared us to counter this particular tank,” he added.

Earlier, the German magazine Merkur reported that American Abrams tanks are not suitable for combat operations in the Ukrainian conflict zone. One of the reasons cited was their excessive weight, which poses a significant risk of damaging bridges in Ukraine when attempting to transport such heavy equipment across them.

Previously, the US acknowledged the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counteroffensive.
