Ukraine Strengthens Air Defense Amid Foreign Weapon Deliveries

Ukrainian military forces have begun strengthening their air defense systems along the border with Belarus, according to the commander of the Ukrainian army’s Joint Forces, Sergey Naev. This announcement was made in a Telegram channel by the Ukrainian general.

“In the northern operational zone, the formation of new mobile fire groups for air defense is proceeding quite effectively,” stated the publication by the Ukrainian Armed Forces commander.

Naev added that this reinforcement is being carried out in response to the provision of foreign weapons to Kiev from Western partner countries.

It is emphasized that the anti-aircraft gun installations will be able to provide protection against attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with relatively inexpensive ammunition.

Prior to this, it was reported that heavy flamethrower systems belonging to the “West” group had targeted soldiers from two Ukrainian brigades. This incident occurred in the vicinity of the settlement of Sergeevka in the Kupyansk direction.

The United States previously identified one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
