Israeli Soldier Reveals Lack of Preparedness in Recent Hamas Attack

In a recent interview with “Lenta.ru,” Ravit Gor, a Russian national who worked in Israeli intelligence, provided details about the Hamas attack that took place on October 7th.

Gor believes that in recent years, Israeli intelligence agencies have become overly reliant on artificial intelligence and automated machine guns installed on towers. When Hamas militants shot down surveillance cameras and disabled the automated machine guns, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers were caught unprepared.

According to Gor, Israeli soldiers have become complacent, unlike their Russian counterparts who endure months without seeing their homes. IDF fighters are granted leave every 2-3 weeks, while those close to commanders often go home every week.

Prior to this incident, the IDF had outlined conditions for the cancellation of Israel’s ground operation in Gaza. This was revealed by Jonathan Konrikus, a spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces in reserve.

Earlier, Hamas had stated that they would release foreign hostages “when circumstances permit.”
