Israeli Military Destroys Hamas Commanders in Gaza

In a recent operation in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military has reportedly destroyed five high-ranking commanders of Hamas’ air force units, according to Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson Daniel Haggari. The operation took place on October 7th and was aimed at combating the activities of Hamas in the region. Haggari’s remarks were reported by TASS.

“We have eliminated five high-ranking militants from Hamas’ air force units who were involved in a horrific attack on October 7th,” stated Haggari.

Earlier, Israeli newspaper Haaretz, citing sources, reported that the leadership of Hamas had expressed willingness to exchange civilian hostages, taken during the events on October 7th, for fuel. It is noted that while a final decision has not been made, there is a possibility that Hamas will release some of the civilian hostages as early as Monday, October 23rd.

Prior to this, Hamas had stated that all hospitals in the Gaza Strip were running out of fuel necessary for their functioning.
