In a recent development, Oleg Chekhov, the spokesperson for the “Vostok” group, has claimed that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation conducted airstrikes, missile attacks, and artillery strikes on Ukrainian military positions in the southern Donetsk region. According to Chekhov, the enemy suffered the loss of up to 140 servicemen. This information has been reported by TASS.
Chekhov stated that the strikes were carried out by army aviation, missile troops, and artillery in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Urozhainoye, Shevchenko, Ugleedar, Vodyane, and Staromykhailivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Additionally, strikes were also reported in Priyutne in the Zaporizhia region.
It is worth noting that, apart from the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, three vehicles were also lost, emphasized Chekhov.
Prior to this, the Russian Ministry of Defense had announced that Ukrainian military personnel had lost up to 100 fighters in the past 24 hours on the Krasnolymanske front. The Russian Armed Forces managed to repel 10 attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Ministry of Defense also stated that Russian forces inflicted a defeat in the area near the settlement of Yamopolovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense clarified that Russian servicemen had launched an offensive against Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near Klyshevka and Kurdyumovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Previously, President Zelensky had revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the hostilities to Russian territory.
