In a recent development in the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine, Russian forces have successfully repelled multiple attacks by Ukrainian troops. According to Alexander Savchuk, the spokesperson for the “Center” troop group, the Russian forces stationed in the Krasnolimansk direction successfully repelled four enemy attacks. During the counter-battery combat, up to 100 Ukrainian servicemen and two armored vehicles were destroyed. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
Savchuk further stated that the Russian forces targeted and successfully hit around 170 enemy positions, including two command and observation posts and five Ukrainian troop strongholds. The four attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces were repelled in the areas of Torskoye bulge and Serebryanskoye forestry.
Prior to this, Oleg Chekhov, the spokesperson for the “Vostok” troop group, announced that the Russian Armed Forces had conducted aerial, missile, and artillery strikes on Ukrainian troop and equipment concentrations in the Southern Donetsk direction. The enemy reportedly suffered losses of up to 140 servicemen.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Ukrainian military forces had lost up to 100 fighters in the past 24 hours in the Krasnolimansk direction. The Russian Armed Forces successfully repelled 10 attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In a related development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed the challenges faced by Ukraine in shifting the military operations into Russian territory.
