Israeli military personnel came under fire from the Gaza sector, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in their Telegram channel.
“A short while ago, shots were fired at IDF soldiers operating west of the security barrier [on the border] with the Gaza sector, in the area of Kisufim,” the statement said.
Earlier, the IDF struck the Nuseirat market located in the Gaza sector. The Palestinian Ministry of Interior Affairs reported this.
The statement mentioned that a large number of people were injured as a result of the attack. However, the ministry representatives have not yet specified the exact number of casualties.
On October 21, the Hamas movement fired at the Israeli city of Ashkelon, located in the southwest of the country. As representatives of the movement stated, the operation was carried out in response to violence against peaceful civilians.
On the same day, Israeli military conducted an airstrike on the home of a commander and founder of the Hamas military wing, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades – Saleh al-Aruri.
