Israeli military unit “Magellan” has successfully deployed the combat weapon “Steel Dagger” for the first time, destroying a Hamas fire point. This significant development was reported by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) through their official Telegram channel.
“In recent days, Magellan commando fighters have swiftly employed the combat tool ‘Steel Dagger’ and attacked a launch position of the terrorist organization Hamas, which had been targeting Israeli territory,” the IDF statement read.
The “Steel Dagger” is a mortar bomb with dual guidance systems, enabling precise strikes on targets located in populated areas.
On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets at Israel and declared the start of their operation named “Flood of Al-Aqsa.” Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared the country to be in a state of war.
The Israeli Defense Forces’ counter-operation, named “Iron Swords,” aims to eliminate Hamas. The Israeli Air Force has conducted strikes on hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
