Russian Company Develops Anti-Drone Rifle to Suppress Ukrainian Military Drones

The Russian scientific and production association “Kaisant” has developed a special anti-drone rifle to suppress 90% of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the special operation zone. This was reported by TASS.

According to the company, the anti-drones can affect any commercial drones, aircraft-type devices, and FPV drones. The weight of the device is 5.5 kg, and it has a suppression range of up to 1.5 km. The anti-drones can operate for up to 1.5 hours.

However, the organization noted that there are currently no anti-drone rifles capable of suppressing 100% of UAVs. According to representatives of the association, the seven frequency ranges on which most drones operate are the maximum currently available.

“Therefore, we cannot claim that we can neutralize 100% of drones; we neutralize the majority of drones. And no rifle can stop 100% of drones,” emphasized the organization.

In a previous interview with “Gazeta.Ru,” Vladimir Kleshnin, the business development manager at Kaspersky Antidrone in Kaspersky Lab, mentioned that if a suspicious drone is detected in the sky, Russians are not allowed to shoot it down themselves. Instead, citizens should report the UAV to the police.

It was previously reported how many Russians have downloaded an application that allows them to report drones.
