Israeli troops are fully prepared for any potential developments in the region, including a potential escalation of the conflict with the Lebanese movement “Hezbollah,” according to a statement made by the spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Avichay Adra. Adra emphasized that military personnel are currently stationed in the northern areas and that Israel is utilizing various methods to protect its territories. If necessary, they are ready to open fire on “Hezbollah” targets in Lebanon.
However, Adra also held the Lebanese government responsible for the shelling and other threats originating from its territory. He stated that it is the responsibility of the neighboring state to put an end to the activities of “Hezbollah.”
The Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, disclosed that the country’s military forces have already eliminated approximately 13 members of the Lebanese movement. Galant emphasized that “Hezbollah” has deliberately chosen to initiate a conflict with Israel and will face severe consequences as a result.
In response, the Lebanese Foreign Minister, Abdallah Bou Habib, appealed to Israeli authorities to declare a ceasefire for at least two days.
With tensions escalating between Israel and Hezbollah, the situation in the region remains precarious. The Israeli military’s readiness and determination to protect its territories demonstrate the seriousness of the threat posed by “Hezbollah.” The responsibility lies not only on the Lebanese government but also on the international community to work towards de-escalation and finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
