Israeli Defense Forces Carry Out Strikes on Hamas Targets in Gaza

In a recent development, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched strikes on sniper and observation posts belonging to the radical Palestinian movement Hamas. These posts were located within multi-story buildings, according to an official statement from the IDF’s Telegram channel.

Additionally, the Israeli military confirmed that airstrikes have continued to target numerous Hamas facilities in the Gaza Strip, including a command center, anti-tank complexes, and strategic infrastructure.

On October 7, Hamas forces fired thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, declaring the start of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that the country was in a state of war.

The IDF’s counter-operation has been named “Iron Swords,” with the primary objective being the destruction of Hamas. Israeli Air Force strikes have targeted hundreds of militant targets in the Gaza Strip, while the National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the enclave. On October 13, Israel informed the United Nations that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the southern part of Gaza in preparation for a ground operation.
