Russian President Vladimir Putin Visits Military Headquarters in Rostov-on-Don

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently visited the headquarters of the Russian Armed Forces in Rostov-on-Don, according to Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson. This visit comes after Putin’s visit to Perm.

During his visit, Putin received a report on the progress of a special military operation from Valery Gerasimov, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. Peskov added that other discussions took place with representatives of the Ministry of Defense’s top leadership.

Earlier reports stated that Putin had held a meeting at the headquarters of the Special Military Operation Group in Rostov-on-Don.

Prior to this, Gerasimov, during his visit to the forward command post of the Russian forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction, drew the attention of the Russian group’s command to the need for preemptive strikes against the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to the military department, General Gerasimov, during the inspection, emphasized the timely detection of the enemy, the execution of preemptive strikes, and the conduct of counter-battery warfare by his subordinates.

Previously, three Ukrainian soldiers crossed the Dnieper River and surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces.
