In a recent report to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Valery Gerasimov, stated that the joint task force has been effectively carrying out its mission according to the special operation plan. This information was relayed by the Russian news agency, TASS.
“The joint task force is accomplishing its objectives in accordance with the operation plan,” he said.
Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian president, confirmed that Vladimir Putin visited the headquarters of the Russian Armed Forces in Rostov-on-Don.
Earlier, it was reported that Putin held a meeting at the headquarters of the special operation task force in Rostov-on-Don.
During his visit to the forward command post on the Zaporizhia direction, Gerasimov drew the attention of the Russian group’s command to the need for preemptive strikes against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to the military department, Army General Gerasimov emphasized the importance of timely detection of the enemy, preemptive strikes against them, and effective counter-battery fire during the inspection.
In a separate development, there have been proposals in the Russian State Duma to organize an exhibition showcasing destroyed NATO equipment.
