Russia Successfully Tests New Artillery System, Ready for Mass Production

The Russian state corporation “Rostec” has announced that the new Russian self-propelled howitzer, named “Koalitsiya-SV,” has successfully passed technical tests and is now ready for mass production. The unique feature of this artillery system is its high level of automation, with the crew located in an isolated armored capsule and operating it remotely.

According to Bekhan Ozdoev, the director of conventional weapons, ammunition, and special chemistry at Rostec, the “Koalitsiya-SV” is not just another example of domestic artillery but a significant milestone in its development. He emphasized that it can be considered a combat robot.

The main objective of the howitzer is to destroy mortar units, as well as missile and air defense systems.

Prior to this, Rostec successfully completed testing for the first Russian wheeled howitzer, called “Malva.”

The company assures that the new howitzer model is more maneuverable compared to its tracked counterparts, while also offering greater technical capabilities and lower operating costs.

Earlier, Russia also developed a new drone suppression system.
