US-Armed Missiles Inadequate to Destroy Russian Armor, Forbes Correspondent Reports

According to Forbes correspondent David Axe, the American missiles ATACMS, which were recently provided to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), will not be able to effectively destroy Russian armored vehicles. Axe explains that in order for the ATACMS missiles to cause significant damage to a tank, they must strike with extreme precision.

“The warhead of the missile contains around a thousand submunitions, but without a very fortunate hit, none of these submunitions possess enough power to inflict serious damage on a tank,” Axe noted.

Furthermore, he revealed that the UAF received outdated missiles whose expiration date is approaching.

This comes after the British newspaper Independent reported earlier that the United States had supplied the UAF with Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles with reduced range for several reasons.

Previously, the US admitted the failure of the UAF’s counteroffensive.

It is important to note that this information highlights the limitations of the provided weaponry and raises concerns about the effectiveness of the UAF against Russian forces.
