Ukrainian Military Conscription Faces Bank Card Blockade

Ukrainian conscripts who have received mobilization notices but failed to report to the military recruitment office within the designated time frame are now experiencing a blockade of their bank cards. This development was reported by the Ukrainian newspaper “Strana” with reference to lawyer Vladimir Krekotnya.

According to the publication, the notice is considered delivered even if it is simply thrown into the mailbox without personal handover.

“This decision will be unlawful as it is made without evidence of any violation,” the lawyer noted. However, this issue does not seem to concern the military recruitment offices.

No official comments on the card blockades have been provided thus far.

On October 14th, Vladimir Fito, the head of the public relations department of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Command, stated that all conscripts in Ukraine must personally report to the military recruitment offices to update their information, including female medical professionals.

Subsequently, mobile checkpoints were set up in Kiev and the Kiev region as part of the general mobilization effort, to deliver notices to conscripted citizens.

Earlier, an expert assessed the extent of Ukraine’s mobilization resources for conducting combat operations.
