Israeli Defense Minister Takes Responsibility for Hamas Attack on Israel

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant has claimed responsibility for the recent attack on Israel by the Palestinian radical group Hamas on October 7th. His statement was reported by The Times of Israel.

“I have been responsible for this for the past two weeks, even during difficult incidents,” he noted.

The minister promised to do everything in his power to lead the country to victory in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“We will be precise and lethal and we will continue until we complete the mission,” he said.

On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, declaring the beginning of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the country was in a state of war.

The counter-operation by the Israel Defense Forces has been named “Iron Swords,” with the destruction of Hamas being one of its goals. The Israeli Air Force has targeted hundreds of Hamas facilities in the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the sector. On October 13th, Israel informed the United Nations that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the south of Gaza within 24 hours in anticipation of a ground operation in Gaza.

Earlier, Israel accused Hamas of preparing a fabricated video of an attack on a hospital in Gaza.
