Israel Receives First Batch of Armored Vehicles from the US to Replace Damaged Equipment

The Ministry of Defense of Israel recently received a cargo plane from the US carrying the first batch of armored vehicles intended for use by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), according to a statement issued by the ministry’s press service.

The statement emphasized that the armored vehicles are being provided to the Israeli army as replacements for those that were damaged during the combat operations against Hamas militants.

On October 19, Reuters reported, citing sources, that the IDF plans to destroy Gaza’s infrastructure and detonate underground tunnels used by Hamas, although Israel does not have a post-war plan for the enclave. The former Israeli Defense Minister acknowledged that the conflict in the region could last for several months, with the recovery process taking years. An Israeli army representative announced that there are currently 203 Hamas hostages and preparations are being made for “the next stages” of military operations.

Earlier, the US disclosed the timeline of Israel’s ground operation in Gaza.
