In a recent development, Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have been accused of launching attacks on medical facilities in the town of Nova Mayachka in Herston Oblast. These attacks were reportedly carried out using HIMARS, a rocket artillery system, while explosive devices were dropped on the district hospital in Aleshky from unmanned aerial vehicles. The head of the Aleshky military-civil administration, Georgiy Zhuravko, made these claims during an interview on the television channel “Russia-24”.
According to Zhuravko, the Ukrainian military filmed the fire at the Aleshky hospital.
Earlier in the day, Andrey Alekseenko, the head of the Herston Oblast government, reported that the UAF had targeted the central district hospital in Aleshky.
On October 16, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russian air defense systems had successfully shot down two Ukrainian MiG-29 fighters and one Su-25 attack aircraft in the areas of Arkhangelske in Herston Oblast, Dmitrovka, and Zvonetsk in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
Prior to this, a UAF fighter expressed confusion about the reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine.
