Russia Deploys MiG-31 Jets with Kinjal Missiles to Patrol Black Sea Amid Western Provocations

Russia has deployed MiG-31 fighter jets armed with “Kinjal” missiles to patrol the airspace over the Black Sea due to provocations from Western countries, according to Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee of the State Duma, Yuri Shvytkin. He praised Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision, calling it “absolutely correct.” Shvytkin highlighted the provocative actions of NATO countries, particularly the United States, in the waters of the Black Sea.

“The need for constant patrols over neutral waters has become urgent,” Shvytkin noted.

He explained that the “Kinjal” missile has a range of up to 2,000 kilometers and a firing speed of over 4,000 meters per second. The deputy emphasized that such significant tactical characteristics should sober up the “hotheaded” politicians of the North Atlantic Alliance countries.

On October 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Russian Aerospace Forces to begin permanently patrolling the skies over the Black Sea.

Yuri Knutov, a military historian and director of the Air Defense Forces Museum, described the MiG-31 as the world’s fastest interceptor fighter.

Earlier, a US presidential candidate expressed their intention to prevent a third world war.
