President Joe Biden has arrived in Israel to demonstrate the United States’ backing of the Jewish state, as reported by i24News. The purpose of his visit is simple: to showcase the US support for Israel to the Israeli people and the entire world, stated Biden during a press briefing.
The American leader also emphasized that the US would provide all necessary assistance to the Jewish nation. Additionally, Biden plans to meet with Americans whose family members are being held captive by Hamas militants. His team has also requested a meeting with Rachel Edery, a woman from Ofakim who bravely distracted and cared for five militants holding her and her husband hostage for 19 hours until a special forces team arrived.
It was announced yesterday that a advance team from the US president visited border settlements in the Gaza Strip. The team entered in armored vehicles provided by the US State Department and Embassy.
Earlier, Biden expressed his intentions to request over $2 billion in military aid for Israel and Ukraine from Congress.
