Israeli Defense Forces Urging Gaza Residents to Evacuate as Humanitarian Assistance is Provided

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have issued a call for residents of Gaza to evacuate to a humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi, where international humanitarian aid will be provided as needed. This statement was released by the IDF on Telegram.

“The IDF continues to urge residents in the northern part of the Gaza Strip and the city of Gaza to evacuate to the Al-Mawasi area, south of Wadi Gaza,” the message stated.

The Israeli army recommended that people relocate to open areas in the west of the city of Khan Yunis, specifically in the Al-Mawasi region.

On October 7, Hamas forces launched several thousand rockets into Israeli territory, declaring the start of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that the country was in a state of war.

The Israeli Defense Forces’ retaliatory operation, named “Iron Swords,” aimed at the destruction of Hamas. Israeli Air Force targeted hundreds of militant targets in the Gaza Strip, while the country’s National Security Council decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the enclave. On October 13, Israel informed the United Nations that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the south of Gaza in anticipation of a ground operation.
