Russian Defense Minister Holds Meeting on Increasing Production of Artillery Systems and Rocket Launchers

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu held a meeting to discuss the prospects of developing and increasing production of artillery systems and rocket launchers. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported this in a statement released on Telegram.

The Army General emphasized the importance of promptly replenishing weapon supplies in the conditions of the ongoing military operation in Ukraine. He highlighted that the ability of Russian enterprises to increase the production of artillery systems and rocket launchers, as well as minimize delivery times to the Armed Forces, directly affects the solution of this task.

Shoigu also discussed the organization of work on the development and increase in the production of the mentioned weapons and ammunition, taking into account the additional needs of the troops.

Earlier, Shoigu stated that during the so-called summer counteroffensive, which began on June 4, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost 1,500 armored vehicles and hundreds of tanks.

Previously, lawmakers were prohibited from traveling to the conflict zone without Shoigu’s permission.
