In the controlled city of Zaporizhia in Ukraine, multiple powerful explosions occurred, according to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.
According to their information, at least five explosions were heard. As of 1:50 am Moscow time, an air raid alert was in effect in the Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv regions of Ukraine, as well as in the areas of Zaporizhia and Kherson under the control of Kyiv.
On October 16, the head of the regional council of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine, Nikolai Lukashuk, reported the destruction of an infrastructure object in the vicinity of the city of Nikopol.
Prior to these explosions, there were similar incidents in the Ukrainian city of Khmelnytskyi.
According to available information, on October 10, 2022, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Russian Armed Forces began striking Ukrainian infrastructure. Since then, air raid alerts have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire country. Attacks are targeting objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the country.
Earlier, a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expressed his lack of understanding of the reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine.
