The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have come under fire in the vicinity of the town of Shetula on the border with Lebanon. This was reported in the IDF Telegram channel.
“A short time ago, a report was received regarding an attack on IDF soldiers with anti-tank missiles in the area of Shetula and in the security zone between Israel and Lebanon. The IDF is responding with artillery fire towards the source of the attack,” the Israeli army press service said in a statement.
Prior to this, Musa Abu-Marzook, a member of the political leadership of the Palestinian movement Hamas, promised to release civilian hostages in response to the cessation of attacks on Gaza.

On October 13, Israel informed the UN that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the south of Gaza within 24 hours in anticipation of a ground operation in the sector.
