Israeli Defense Forces Hold Islamic Jihad Responsible for Hospital Attack in Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have identified the Islamic Jihad group as responsible for the recent attack on a hospital in the Gaza Strip, according to IDF spokesperson Daniel Higari. The Islamic Jihad organization, which is banned in Russia, has been implicated in the failed rocket launch that resulted in the hospital being hit.

Higari revealed that multiple intelligence sources available to the Israeli side have provided evidence linking the group to the unsuccessful rocket launch.

Earlier reports stated that the IDF had launched an investigation following news of the rocket hitting the hospital in Gaza. The incident was initially attributed to a failed rocket launch by Hamas.

On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, declaring the start of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and taking over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared the country to be in a state of war.

The Israeli Defense Forces’ counter-operation, named “Iron Swords,” aims to destroy Hamas. The Israeli Air Force has conducted strikes on hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, while the Israeli National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the region.
