Retired officer of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), Andriy Marochko, has claimed that the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Krasnolimansk front have sharply increased, according to RIA Novosti. “Over the past week, the losses of the enemy on the Kupyansk and Krasnolimansk fronts have significantly surpassed the losses on the Donetsk front, which traditionally had been the highest for over six months,” Marochko stated. According to his sources, the high losses suffered by the Ukrainian army on these fronts are attributed to the tactic of “human wave assaults,” where Ukrainian soldiers gradually advance in small groups without the cover of armored vehicles. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had not achieved any results during their counteroffensive but had suffered enormous losses. The Ukrainian counteroffensive, as stated by the Ministry of Defense of Russia, began on June 4th of this year. Previously, a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expressed his lack of understanding of the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
