In a recent development in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, a commander with the codename “Sova” (an organization listed as a foreign agent by the Ministry of Justice) has revealed to RIA Novosti that a Russian tank, with the help of a reconnaissance drone, has successfully targeted Ukrainian military personnel and equipment near the settlement of Rabotino in the Zaporizhzhia region.
“Sova” stated that he operates on the main battle tank T-72B3M OBKh, equipped with state-of-the-art technology. He referred to this tank as a reliable machine, boasting thermal imaging cameras and precision sights. According to him, by coordinating with the reconnaissance drone, they are able to accurately engage the enemy. The drone operator provides targeting guidance, adjusting the fire.
During their latest operation, the tank crew and the reconnaissance drone team managed to strike Ukrainian military equipment and personnel. Additionally, “Sova” provided information about the Western military equipment they have encountered in combat.
“Pick-ups, Bradleys, and some other French nonsense on wheels, as well as US wheeled armored vehicles. These are like a walk in the park for our tanks. They are easily destroyed by fragmentation shells, causing the metal to shatter like splinters,” he said.
It was previously reported that Uralvagonzavod, a Russian defense manufacturer, had delivered a batch of T-90M tanks and modernized T-72 tanks, specifically the T-72B3M modification, to the Russian Armed Forces. The West has been amazed by the rapid pace of tank production in Russia.
