Russian Ambassador Advises Russian Citizens to Avoid Travel to Lebanon

In a recent interview on the Russian television channel “Russia 24,” the Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Rudakov, advised Russian citizens to refrain from traveling to the republic if possible. The ambassador urged individuals to think twice before planning a trip to Lebanon and suggested postponing any scheduled visits to a later date.

This advice comes in the wake of the Israeli army’s announcement of the evacuation of 28 towns on the border with Lebanon. On October 12, it was reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had deployed reservists to cities along the Lebanese border, amidst a general reinforcement of troops in northern Israel. On October 11, the IDF stated that it had received information regarding a suspected breach of the country’s airspace from Lebanon.

Earlier, the Israeli police had predicted the duration of the conflict escalation. The tense situation in the region raises concerns about the safety of travelers and highlights the growing tensions between Israel and Lebanon.

It is important for Russian citizens to heed the advice of their ambassador and prioritize their safety when considering travel plans to Lebanon. The situation in the region remains volatile, and it is advisable to monitor the developments closely before making any decisions.
