Israel Vows to Take Action Anywhere in the Middle East to Ensure Security Amid Escalation

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson, Brigadier General Daniel Hagar, has announced that the military will take action in any part of the Middle East to ensure the security of the Jewish state amid the ongoing escalation in the Gaza Strip and increasing clashes along the Lebanese border. This statement was reported by The Times of Israel. “We always keep an eye on the entire Middle East. The IDF will act in any part of the Middle East to achieve Israel’s security goals,” he said. Hagar emphasized that Israel is well-prepared in all areas.

Previously, the IDF had reported that the Israeli side was shelling Hezbollah positions in Lebanon in response to attacks on its fighters with anti-tank missiles. On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory and declared the start of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the country is in a state of war.

The IDF’s retaliatory operation has been named “Iron Swords,” with the destruction of Hamas being one of its objectives. The Israeli Air Force conducted strikes on hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli National Security Council decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the region.
